CNN is now the world’s most searched online service, according to Google Trends, with more than 17 million searches and more than 14 million page views since December 1.
The news organization has been on a tear since the 2016 election and has since taken a hit from the FBI’s ongoing probe of Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 elections.
CNN has been among the first networks to report on the new investigations.
The search term for CNN is “CNN,” according to data compiled by search engine DuckDuckGo.
The network also has the most-trending hashtag in Google Trends.
CNN host Anderson Cooper is the No. 2 search term, according in Google.
CNN’s search volume for CNN spiked to nearly 7.4 million searches in December, up more than 40% from November, according the company.
CNN is the most searched search engine in the U.S., according to CNN’s website.
CNN hosts Anderson Cooper, Jake Tapper and Jim Acosta have both received praise for their reporting on Russia’s election interference.
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was named “Person of the Year” by the Society of Professional Journalists and CNN’s host Jim Acacia said he will become the first CNN reporter to be named Person of the Week.
